What Machines These Foals Are!

As the only dual group-winning son of Champion First and Second Season sire Zoustar, Lean Mean Machine’s Group 2 victories at two and three highlighted his sensational racetrack ability, while his third in the stallion-making Gr.1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, further emphasised his elite level talent.

The epitome of what breeders look for when selecting a stallion, Lean Mean Machine is a stunning physical specimen. His first three dams are all juvenile winners, his own dam She’s Meaner being a Listed winner at two, and a narrow runner-up in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic of her year, highlighting the juvenile class of the family.

Supported by many of Australia’s leading breeders in his first season including Glastonbury Farms, Makybe Racing and Breeding, Seymour Bloodstock, Swettenham Stud and Yulong Investment to name a few, the first foals of those mating’s are arriving this season to glowing reports, all noting their outstanding quality and substance.

Standing at Aquis Seymour at a fee of $13,200 (inc. GST), Lean Mean Machine has been represented Australia wide by his first crop foals with many outstanding specimens already foaled so far this season.

Ponderosa Park’s Paul Kelly is one judge who has been suitably impressed by his Lean Mean Machine foals.

“I have had three Lean Mean Machine foals so far this season and they are magnificent. He has stamped his stock and he can throw a type. As good as any other foals on my farm!”

While Andrew Braddock of Gooree Park highlighted the Nashville Skyline filly as similar to her sire.

“The Lean Mean Machine x Nashville Skyline is a very athletic filly just like her father! Very correct and extremely active!”

It is just not the physical that is impressing breeders, but the quality of the mares he also covered in his first book.

Foaled at Aquis Canungra was the second foal of Fast Hussy, herself a half-sister to five-time Gr.1-winning, Champion Sprinter Santa Ana Lane.

Ellora Stud welcomed a colt out of See It My Way who is from the family of Gr.1 Golden Slipper winner Burst and South Africa’s Gr.1 Allan Robertson Championship winner Vernichey.

While Glastonbury Farms foaled down a colt out of the well-related Kulgrinda, a three-quarter-sister to Headwater, from the family of Gr.1 winners Crown Prosecutor and River Dove.
