Bred to excel and built to perform, Prost retires to stud in 2025 as one of the most exciting young stallion prospects in the country. A $650,000 yearling purchased at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale by powerhouse team Kia Ora Stud, TFI, and Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing, Prost is the perfect representation of The Formula – Looks, Pedigree, Speed and Class.
By Champion Sire Snitzel, Prost hails from a family steeped in juvenile success. His dam, Samarmeteors, is a half-sister to Champion Female Sprinter of 2013-14 and Group 1 Blue Diamond winner Samaready. That makes Prost a ¾ brother to Golden Slipper winner Shinzo and Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Exhilarates, a lineage that has conquered Australia’s three premier juvenile races.
On the track, Prost was a Group-class performer at both two and three, combining raw speed with class and resilience. As a two-year-old, he announced himself as a colt of the highest calibre, taking out the Group 3 Canonbury Stakes in class record time, a race previously won by the likes of Not A Single Doubt and Sebring. His blistering win made him the fastest Canonbury Stakes winner on record (over 1100m). He followed up with a strong second to Storm Boy in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes and a placing in the Group 3 Breeders’ Plate behind Espionage.
As a three-year-old, Prost confirmed his quality with a dominant win in the Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes, joining a distinguished honour roll that includes legends like Lonhro and General Nediym.
With elite bloodlines, exceptional juvenile credentials, and genuine Group 1 relations across the page, Prost offers breeders a rare opportunity to tap into a family that produces early, fast, and tough racehorses.
