Overview

Prost is one of the most exciting young stallion prospects in Australia, combining elite pedigree, high-class performance and a rare blend of precocity and progression.

A $650,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling, Prost raced exclusively at stakes level, earning more than $800,000 from just eight starts and consistently competing against the best of his generation.

By Champion Sire Snitzel, Prost hails from one of the most potent juvenile families in the Australian studbook. His dam Samarmeteors is a half-sister to Champion Female Sprinter Samaready, making him a three-quarter brother to Shinzo and Exhilarates. This is a family that has produced winners of the Golden Slipper and Magic Millions 2YO Classic, the two defining races for precocious speed in Australia.

On the track, Prost showed class from the outset. After placing in the Group 3 Breeders’ Plate, he delivered a dominant performance in the Group 3 Canonbury Stakes, setting a class record time and defeating subsequent Group 2 winner Traffic Warden. He followed with a strong second in the Group 2 Skyline Stakes.

At three, Prost confirmed his quality and versatility, extending his speed to a mile with victory in the Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes at Randwick, placing him alongside champions such as Lonhro and General Nediym on the race’s honour roll.

Importantly, Prost is the only son of Snitzel to win a Group race at two and train on to win a Group race over a mile at three, highlighting both elite juvenile speed and the ability to carry that performance beyond his early career.

With a pedigree built on proven Group 1 success and a race record that demonstrates both speed and resilience, Prost offers breeders access to a rare profile that consistently produces early, fast and high-quality racehorses with the scope to train on.
