Trained by Les Ross, the 2-year-old gelding was having just his second start, and comfortably closed down race leader Revitup Charlie (Top Echelon) entering the home straight to register a 1l victory, with Magic Of Millo (The Mission) a further 0.3l away in third.
From TDN: Aquis Farm-based first-season sire Santos was handed his first winner courtesy of Ulanova’s (NZ) victory at Te Rapa on Saturday.
From TDN: Aquis Farm’s first-season sire Brave Smash (Jpn) made the perfect start to his career as a stallion as his first runner, Halo Smash, broke his maiden at Ascot.
From TDN: Aquis Farm-based sire Performer was responsible for trial winner at the Sunshine Coast as the Les Ross-trained Mishani Cruise.
From TDN: Group 1-producing sire Aclaim (Ire) will shuttle to Aquis Farm in 2022 and he will stand his first season for a fee of $24,200 (inc GST).
Trained by Martyn Meade on behalf of Dermot Farrington and Queensland-based farm Canning Downs, Aclaim won seven of his 15 starts, making a successful debut in a 1000-metre contest in a Kempton maiden in the December of his 2-year-old season.
From TDN: It would appear fate, and perhaps some good luck, played a part in Johnny Rocker’s (Jukebox) Oxlade S. triumph at Eagle Farm.
